Furniture company worker stalked woman by phone after she made donation cops say
A 53-year-old man used his job to access information about a Blackwood woman and then used it to harass her by phone for about three weeks, authorities said.
Shortly after the woman hired a Philadelphia company to assist her in a furniture donation in May, a man began calling her and making offensive and inappropriate comments, Gloucester Township police said in a statement last week.
George Tobin, of Somerdale, was arrested following an investigation and charged with stalking and harassment, police said. Tobin, who worked for a Philadelphia furniture company, was already on parole, officials said. He was sent to the Camden County jail.
The name of the company was not disclosed.
Anyone who was a victim of similar harassment is asked to call Gloucester Township police at 856-228-4500 or the department's anonymous crime tip line at 856-842-5560. Tips can also be emailed to Police@GTPolice.com.
